Supporting Law Students Who Are DACA Recipients
The $4,000 Law Office of Kenny S. Ramirez Firm Scholarship will support Loyola Law School students who are current Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients. When possible, the funding will be divided into two $2,000 scholarships so that two students can receive financial assistance.

The Byrne Trial Advocacy Team is a competitive mock trial program for students in their second, third, and fourth years of law school. Team members receive focused instruction and individualized training in different areas of trial advocacy.
Students are selected through an internal competition held near the end of the spring semester. Those chosen for the team represent Loyola Law School in regional and national mock trial competitions, including the National Trial Competition, the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition, and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy Tournament of Champions.
Through preparation and competition, students can develop courtroom skills that complement what they learn in the classroom. They practice presenting arguments, examining witnesses, organizing evidence, and responding to the challenges that arise during a trial.
Supporting the Byrne Trial Advocacy Team allows the firm to invest in a program that played an important role in Kenny’s own development as an advocate.
